False Sense of Spring

The other day was such a tease. It was almost 60 and sunny early in the day, but temperatures fell and the sun went away as the day went on. But what to do when the wheels fall off at home? Head to the park as long as it's not raining and somewhat spring-ish. The little ones took a 2 1/2 nap in the morning but were not all about a nap in the afternoon. C also took an uncharacteristically short nap. So we hit the road and went to the park for the first time since, well, the fall. And boy was it obvious. Ellen was not at all keen about the swings. The swings! What kid doesn't like to swing?!I couldn't believe it. Soph was cool with the swings and Corinne could swing for hours, but she actually found a parallel bar to swing on like she does in her tumbling class. She was content to hang on it, do tricks, and then jump down by herself. It was good to get out but we're counting down to the real start of spring.

I love it -- Look at the Schatz girls monopolizing the swingset at the park! Glad to see you got out for a bit. Now let's hope the real Spring arrives very soon.

It was great fun. Corinne was sooo proud of herself when she figured out that she could let go of the bar and land on her feet all by herself! The expression of achievement on her face was priceless.

I'm sure you had your exercise ... walking to and from the park and then walking from swing, to swing, to swing. :)
