Downtown Adventures

Our plan was to see the trains at the Duke Energy Building downtown, but the line was crazy long...similar to waiting in line to ride a rollercoaster at King's Island, only lots more kids and no humidity! So we watched through the window for a while and then headed over to Fountain Square to watch the ice skaters. After a few too many of them crashed into the wall right below us we went to Graeter's and Corinne tasted her first (gasp!) bit of ice cream from this amazing Cincinnati establishment. A day to remember, for sure.

I have such fond memories of going downtown as a little girl to see all of the Christmas decorations with Mom, Dad, Marcey & Betsy. How great to see the tradition continuing! Was it as cold as I remember?

And oh yes, yum!!

Ohhhh, the trains!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was my favorite part of going to downtown when I was little. What a great memory! We too headed to town this week. Seattle has a carasoul that the kids can ride, lots of lights and just tons of fun! But we don't have graeters :(

Congratulations to Corinne on this important milestone! What a serious face she has in this photo -- the kid takes her ice cream seriously, as well she should. My only concern: This is clearly NOT Mocha Chocolate Chip ice cream. That is to be remedied when Aunt Marcey gets home for Christmas.
